SMOKED BABY BACK RIBS

Ingredients:

  • 2-4 Racks of Baby Back Ribs

  • Cedar Key Garlic Herb Seasoning

Directions: Apply the Cedar Key Spice Original Garlic Herb Seasoning liberally to both sides of the ribs and massage it to adhere to the ribs. We generally pre-season and let the ribs rest for an hour, but you can season and smoke right away.

Soak the wood chunks for 20 minutes (we like half mesquite and half hickory) and preheat the smoker. Place the slabs on the racks in the smoker bone side down and then back down to the desired temp 225°F – 240°F for a total of 4 to 4.5 hours (flipping ribs halfway through). When shrinkage on the bone is about the length of your small pinky fingernail, the ribs are done.

Let rest for 15 to 20 minutes before serving with your favorite BBQ sauce on the side.  Our favorite is Carolina Yellow BBQ Sauce.
