Chicken Rice Bowl
Ingredients:
3 cups rice (see Cedar Key Rice recipe)
¼ cup Cedar Key Garlic Sauce
1 cup sliced onions
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 tsp. jalapenos (chopped fine)
2 tbs. fresh chopped basil
¼ cup sweet chili sauce
8 – 10 oz. cooked sliced chicken
¼ cup fresh diced tomato
Make rice according to the Cedar Key Rice recipe. Sauté onions, mushrooms, and jalapenos together in olive oil. Divide the cooked rice in two bowls, add a layer of Cedar Key Garlic Sauce (approx. ¼ cup). Add the sautéed vegetables and layer with the sweet chili sauce (approx. ¼ cup). Top with fresh chopped basil, cooked chicken, diced tomatoes and a final drizzle of the Cedar Key Garlic Sauce in a “crisscross” pattern for a beautiful presentation.
